Sprint Email Campaigns

Sprint emails for their early life and line limit campaigns were custom coded each month. These programs were highly detailed with recipient data for a personalized experience.

My role in this project is that of a email developer & project manager. This project was part of my work portfolio for approximately four years. In the beginning of the project I setup an asset repository that I managed with new imagery and logos for both the email campaigns and variable data print campaign. In the beginning this project was extremely personalized by pulling in the actual device on the recipients account.

Over the years the evolution of the program was quite drastic, moving from utilizing an existing design and converting it to HTML & CSS code to actually designing the entire email in house. I handled the contact with the client as well as the group that would launch the email campaign and handle reporting. This relationship would consist of code and matrix delivery, code testing and proofing.

At the end of life for this campaign, I was handling yearly major design changes and more minor monthly changes. These minor changes would include the creation of animated gif files and custom code that would hide the animated files in the instance that the email service provider did not support them. This campaign was extremely successful for the client and was only retired with the merging of Sprint into T-Mobile.
